We proudly introduce here our ⌠Portable Dome Salyut■, for Astronomical Observatories. This is the low cost solution, for the amateur astronomy investigation. It is made with an opaque and showy colored (to be seen at night) double vinyl layer with a polyester fabric on the inside. The inside is black for a better astronomical work.

The Portable Dome ⌠Salyut■ gives you a real protection against wind, dew and light.

The Salyut Dome is 3 m on diameter and 3.20 m on height. It is shaped by two parts: one of them, the proper dome, turns 360 degress manually, softly sliding over plastic rollers, firm and silent.

In the center of the dome, a gap 80 cm width but available in all the diameter of the dome, allows you to place your telescope in a way that, for example, if you have a Dobson telescope of 200 mm, you just have to turn the dome a little once in a hour.

The Portable Dome Salyut, for Observatories, its supported by a structure of aluminum tubes, straight and curve, assembled with PVC juntures. The total assembly time is 1 hour.

The Salyut Dome can be easily transported in two ultra-strong PVC bags 1.5 m long x 50 cm diameter. The total weight is 25 kgs.

Some details that makes us better:

Opaque interior
The inside of a Portable Dome ⌠Salyut■ is completely black. This means that any light spark won▓t be reflected by the inner surface.
You can also acquire proper illumination for night sky studies.
It is possible to have a huge gap on the dome pulling it up over the zenith, just rolling backwards the vinyl cover, that is just grabbed to the fabric with strong velcro. This way, the blend of movement of the dome and the telescope gives you a wider vision of the night sky.

Impermeable fabric

The fabric of the Portable Dome ⌠Salyut■ is absolutely impermeable, and besides it gives you efficient protection against dew, mostly in winter. Besides is an excelent protection from the night▓s cold.

Room

With its 3 m diameter, it has 7 m2 of surface, enough room for the displacement of 4 people.
You can also acquire as a complement a table that can be grabbed to the inner structure with special holders, very useful for your notebook, coffee, notes, etc.
