"Portable Planetariums Home Corporation", commonly known like "Portable Planetariums", is a company dedicated to manufacture affordable Portable Planetariums.

Up to the appearance of our equipments, these equipments were excessively expensives for buyers of countries in development and even for USA, Europe and Japan. Taking in mind the important world wide demand of these equipments and the frustration in the educational environments, for the high costs, our company appear as an available response to fill this demand.

Portable Planetariums Home, was founded in March, 2003 by ex-members of the dissolved Observatorio Astronomico Movil (OAM), later that his founder moved back from any activity related to the astronomy spread.

OAM was an entity primarily dedicated to the general spread of the astronomy that fulfilled an out-standing roll in Argentina. Between 1984-2003, attending to more than 1 million persons with ambulant telecopes in the streets.

Also, between 1992-2003, OAM has attended more than 5.000 schools and 320.000 pupils of Argentine, Panama, Puerto Rico Island and Dominicana Republic.

In this period, OAM obtained express aknowledges of the Buenos Aires City Educational Secretary, Province Governments and National Departments, more an extensive coverage in the news media of the whole country and a wide recognition of international entities like the International Astronomical Union for "the dedication to spread the astronomy".

The Portable Planetariums Home Company, is a heiress of all this extensive trajectory in the general spread of Astronomy in the streets, newsmedias and public and private schools, with the ex-workers, former staff of the dissolved OAM.

Portable Planetariums Home is a clear, definite and accessible response, to the expensive and excessive prices of the "First World" companies.

We are a company with a deep ethical and social sense, which has donated Portable Planetarium to an Argentina School of Narod Serie, with capacity for 60 pupils. Also we donate the 50% of a Vostok Portable Planetarium to Bolvian Navy and Peoples Community Services of Detroit, Michigan, USA.

Portable Planetariums Home introduced revolutionary concepts like the "double plate" projector, which allows to change projection cylinders without cutting "the magic" of the projections and we have clarified the complex world of Full Dome Projections making easy to the clients get this kind of technology.

Also, Portable Planetariums Home contributed in crucial aspects as the "welding for ultrafrequency" in domes (eliminating the primitive systems with glue), even introducing really "black-out" fabrics (completely darken to the solar light) that allow to arm the domes under midday light.

The Portable Planetarium logo is a direct expression of the international brotherhood and fellowship between the company members.

The two-headed eagle represents the Russian spirit, whereas the black eagle represents the inhabitans of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The Azteca Eagle represent the Mexican Nation.
